Position Summary
The Operations Manager helps keep our campus running smoothly so that staff, volunteers, and families can thrive in a safe, welcoming environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, solving problems, and making sure the details behind the scenes support the bigger mission.
You’ll oversee daily office and facility operations, handle safety and crisis response, manage key financial processes, and serve as a connector across departments. Through organization, clear communication, and a steady presence, you’ll ensure our team has what they need to do their best work while fostering a positive, inclusive campus culture.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Culture Building: Foster a Christ-centered, encouraging workplace where team members feel supported, empowered, and accountable to do their best work, while stewarding resources wisely and with excellence.
- Project Oversight: Guide projects from start to finish, checking in with team members along the way to ensure deadlines are met and budgets stay on track.
- Policy Guidance: Serve as the go-to person for staff questions about policies and the employee handbook, offering clear answers and suggesting thoughtful updates when needed.
- Internal Communication Management: Manage employee access to HUBS, drives. Keep shared communications (newsletters, documents, and common-area postings) accurate and up to date—attention to detail matters! Hint: If you include your favorite Bible verse in your application, we’ll know you read closely.
- Scheduling & Meetings: Manage the campus calendar, coordinate schedules, lead team meetings, and plan team gatherings that strengthen collaboration and connection.
- Records Management: Keep databases and filing systems organized, making resources and vendor information easy to access.
- Resource Planning: Anticipate upcoming needs—whether supplies, staff support, or volunteers—so the campus runs smoothly.
- Inventory Oversight: Maintain inventory and align supplies with scheduled activities to prevent last-minute gaps.
- Recruiting & Onboarding: Lead the hiring process by posting jobs, serving as the main point of contact for candidates, coordinating and conducting interviews, and ensuring timely follow-up.
Process, Place & Policy Management
- Policy Implementation: Ensure organizational policies are implemented, while offering guidance on policy enhancements, ensuring consistency and clarity for the team.
- Process Development: Look for ways to make our systems more people-friendly and efficient, and share thoughtful recommendations with the CEO.
- Program Support: Partner in planning and carrying out programs and events so they run smoothly and reflect our mission. Work alongside the CEO to assess how programs are meeting needs and where they can improve.
- Budget Management: Assist with creating and managing budgets, helping us stay financially responsible while maximizing impact.
- Facility Management: Oversee staff and contractors to ensure daily care and upkeep of our housing and community spaces so they remain safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
- Data Management: Manage data collection process and reporting to track progress, measure outcomes, and inform decision-making.
Partner Support
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with the CEO in building and maintaining relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors to support our mission and expand our impact.
Qualifications:
The ideal Operations Manager will demonstrate a firm belief in and passionate advocacy for TMN's mission, exhibiting a strong interest in our two-generation approach and the drive to serve as a dedicated ambassador for the organization. Qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:
- Faith Commitment: Actively involved in a local Christian church.
- Experience: 4–6 years in management preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in administration, operations, nonprofit management, business, or a related field preferred.
- Leadership: Recent, hands-on experience managing and supporting a team.
- Project Management: Strong ability to plan, organize, and carry projects through to completion.
- Budget Management: Proven experience managing, and monitoring budgets with accuracy and accountability.
- Organization: Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Problem-Solving: Flexible and resourceful, approaching challenges with creativity and a solutions-first mindset.
- Communication & Relationships: Skilled in communication, presentations, and relationship building, with the ability to foster trust across diverse groups and levels.
Preferred Qualifications: Not required but nice to have
- Property & Facilities Knowledge: Experience overseeing property or facility operations, ensuring spaces are safe, functional, and welcoming.
- Community Awareness: Familiarity with local resources and networks in Chattanooga to help strengthen community connections.
- Data & Reporting Skills: Comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets at an intermediate level or higher.
- Project Management Tools: Experience with platforms like Asana or Monday.com to keep tasks and timelines organized.
- Safety Training: OSHA 10 Certification is a plus.
- Process Improvement: Lean Six Sigma White Belt or a Project Management certification is a bonus.
- HR Knowledge: Formal training in human resources.
Payscale based on experience. With healthcare stipend available.

Position Summary
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth, consistent delivery of services to Scholar Moms and their children through structured planning, strong communication, and dependable follow-through. This position is ideal for someone with experience in client services, case coordination, or administrative roles who enjoys helping others succeed while staying organized and on top of the details.
You’ll guide moms through their support journey, track progress, connect them to resources, and coordinate group activities—all while reinforcing the mission and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Client Coordination
- Manage personalized action plans that align participant goals with program outcomes
- Track and document monthly check-ins, and provide up to weekly assistance as needed
- Use CRM to maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and generate internal reports
- Help ensure consistent and timely delivery of services and support in line with program expectations
Outreach & Referral Network Development
- Actively work in coordination with the Outreach team to attract and engage pregnant students and single moms through partnership cultivation and intake coordination
- Maintain and strengthen a robust referral network with community partners, campus contacts, and service providers
- Represent The Momentum Network in client outreach settings, strengthening awareness and accessibility of services
- Ensure warm hand-offs and timely follow-ups with prospective participants and referring partners
Resource Navigation & Referrals
- Maintain knowledge of local resources and cultivate referral relationships with community providers
- Coordinate and follow up on referrals to ensure needs are met or additional support is provided
- Guide residents through the housing process, including applications, move-in support, program compliance, and routine walk-throughs
- Act as a liaison between participants and external partners while maintaining professional boundaries
Relational Coaching & Group Facilitation
- Build strong, encouraging relationships with pregnant and single mother college students and their children
- Provide faith-informed coaching (as desired) to help moms set and pursue academic, parenting, and personal growth goals in alignment with program goals
- Facilitate or co-lead life-skills sessions, community events, and small group gatherings
- Foster a culture of grace, personal responsibility, and peer support within the Momentum community
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in regular team meetings, trainings, and program development sessions
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver wraparound support and elevate participant experiences
- Contribute updates, stories, and outcomes for newsletters, grant reports, and donor engagement materials when needed
What You Bring
- A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for serving others with compassion and integrity
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to track and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in a client-facing, service-oriented role such as customer service, case coordination, admissions, or administrative support
- Comfort with digital tools including Google Suite and the ability to learn CRM or case management systems
- Relational warmth paired with clear boundaries and a results-driven, growth mindset

Position Title: Nonprofit Operations Intern (unpaid)

Position Summary
The Nonprofit Operations Intern plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in supporting the day-to-day functions of The Momentum Network. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this intern will assist with administrative tasks, help maintain organized and welcoming facilities, manage office and event logistics, and serve as a friendly point of contact for guests and community members. This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, facilities support, and mission-centered operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests and community members in a professional, friendly manner
- Answer and route phone calls and emails, ensuring timely and respectful communication
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting office and shared space environment
- Assist with managing calendars, meeting scheduling, and room reservations
- Assist in researching prospective donors, corporate sponsors, and grant opportunities
- Provide general administrative support: data entry, filing, document preparation, mailings
- Help coordinate volunteer check-ins and support event logistics (set-up, clean-up, materials)
- Monitor and restock office and event supplies; report facility needs
- Assist with recordkeeping related to inventory, expenses, and facilities
- Support staff with research, special projects, and internal communication as needed
- Uphold confidentiality and represent the organization with professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate (Business, Nonprofit Management, Public Admin, or related field preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a helpful, positive attitude
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Comfortable using Google Suite or Microsoft Office; willing to learn basic office systems
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with room or event setups
- Prior customer service or administrative experience a plus but not required
- Interest in community service and the nonprofit sector

Little Scholars - Night Owl Children's Program
Intern position available

- You're at least 18
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or HiSet equivalent
- Pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education and experience working in childcare is a plus.
Kids program assistant plans for & works meeting nights at The MOMentum Network. You care for the kids by guiding a team of volunteers, under the leadership of the Kids program manager. Meeting nights are currently Thursday nights 4:30-8:30pm.
- Duties Include:
- Oversees volunteer teachers in a class
- Helps with volunteer paperwork
- Meal prep & planning
- Set up signs & possibly help engagement intern with other tasks
- Fill in for managing teacher when needed, including curriculum planning &/or teaching*
- In charge of cleaning up after meeting
- Recruiting other kids team members
- Notes growth and opportunities with kiddos.
- Works with PM to complete kids sheets
- Other duties as assigned/needed.
*As a faith-based program, we offer Christian activities at least once a month. Must be comfortable planning and leading lessons teaching kids about Jesus Christ in alignment with TMN beliefs.

Little Scholars Child Care Team (Full or Part time Teacher & Assistant Teacher Positions available)

- Lead Teachers (6-8 hours in between 7:30am-5:30pm)
- Assistant Teachers (available 7:30am-9:30am or 3:30pm-5:30pm)

We are a small center--licensed to serve up to 12 children, but uphold state standards and pursue excellence in serving the littlest learners in our network.
