About The Momentum Network
The Momentum Network is a faith-based nonprofit in Chattanooga, TN, committed to empowering pregnant and solo-parenting college students to overcome barriers and thrive in education, career, and life. Since 2014, we've delivered a two-generation model of support—including housing, mentorship, childcare assistance, life-skills development, and community—plus Christ-centered coaching that is central to how we serve.
We believe unexpected challenges like unplanned pregnancy can become powerful testimonies of hope, purpose, and redemption. Join us in helping young families rewrite their stories.
Position Summary
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth, consistent delivery of services to Scholar Moms and their children through structured coaching, strong accountability, and dependable follow-through. This position is ideal for someone with experience in coaching, case coordination, or relational ministry who is equally gifted at encouraging others and holding them to high expectations with grace and consistency.
You'll guide moms through their support journey using TMN's MAPP framework, conduct regular PEP coaching sessions, connect participants to resources, and facilitate group activities—all while reinforcing a culture of personal responsibility, identity transformation, and mission-focused growth.
This role requires both relational warmth and the courage to have direct, honest conversations. The moms we serve are resilient and capable, and they deserve a coach who believes in them enough to hold the line.
Key Responsibilities
Relational Coaching & Accountability
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, at minimum twice monthly per participant in year one, with flexibility for weekly sessions as needed
- Guide participants through the MAPP framework, regularly returning to their stated personal vision and goals as the foundation for coaching conversations
- Have direct, caring conversations about hard topics—including spending habits, time priorities, relationship choices, and program compliance—with consistency and compassion
- Recognize and name behavioral patterns that are moving participants toward or away from their goals, and work collaboratively to address them
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while building trusting, long-term coaching relationships
- Provide faith-informed coaching that naturally integrates a Christian worldview into goal-setting, identity formation, and decision-making
Administrative & Client Coordination
- Manage personalized action plans that align participant goals with program outcomes
- Track and document monthly check-ins and coaching sessions; maintain accurate records in CRM
- Monitor participant progress and flag concerns proactively to the CEO
- Help ensure consistent and timely delivery of services and support in line with program expectations
Outreach & Referral Network Development
- Work in coordination with the Outreach team to attract and engage pregnant students and single moms through partnership cultivation and intake coordination
- Maintain and strengthen a referral network with community partners, campus contacts, and service providers
- Represent The Momentum Network in outreach settings, strengthening awareness and accessibility of services
- Ensure warm hand-offs and timely follow-ups with prospective participants and referring partners
Resource Navigation & Referrals
- Maintain current knowledge of local resources and cultivate referral relationships with community providers
- Coordinate and follow up on referrals to ensure participant needs are met
- Guide residents through the housing process, including applications, move-in support, program compliance, and routine walk-throughs
- Act as a liaison between participants and external partners while maintaining professional boundaries
Group Facilitation & Community Building
- Facilitate or co-lead life-skills workshops, community events, and small group gatherings
- Foster a cohort culture grounded in grace, personal responsibility, mutual accountability, and shared purpose
- Help participants build healthy peer relationships and develop a strong identity as scholars and leaders
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in regular team meetings, trainings, and program development sessions
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver wraparound support and elevate participant experiences
- Contribute updates, stories, and outcomes for newsletters, grant reports, and donor engagement materials as needed
What You Bring
- A mature, integrated faith in Jesus Christ that naturally informs how you engage participants—not just a background value, but an active lens through which you coach, encourage, and challenge
- Proven ability to hold others accountable with warmth—you can have difficult conversations about money, relationships, and priorities without flinching, and people feel cared for rather than condemned afterward
- Experience walking alongside individuals in complex life seasons—navigating competing priorities, personal setbacks, and high-pressure decisions—with the steadiness and skill to keep them moving forward even when progress is nonlinear
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to track and manage multiple participant relationships simultaneously
- Experience in a coaching, case coordination, ministry, admissions, or relational service role
- Comfort with digital tools including Google Suite and the ability to learn CRM or case management systems
- Bachelor's degree required
- Availability for occasional evenings and weekends
Benefits
- Paid holidays and PTO
- Healthcare stipend
- Ongoing professional and spiritual development
- Supportive, mission-driven team culture
- The opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of resilient young moms and their children
