DESCRIPTION
The MOMentum Network provides sessions for moms come together with their peers, mentors and topical experts to connect & grow during our asset-based personal & professional development training. We help moms identify and steward their strengths and resources while networking with others to create strategies to overcome obstacles. (Open to all members-guests can attend up to 2 meetings).
These MPower sessions are hosted once a month during the Fall & Spring semesters. They are open to any mom currently enrolled in college or motivated to enroll in college & sometimes open to the community. Sessions are at no cost to moms due to the support of our “network” but space is limited & pre-registration is required.
April: CNE Money School
“Money School is a financial literacy education program, featuring free financial education seminars, workshops, and panel discussions that focus on entrepreneurship, student financial aid & loan debt, understanding credit scores, home ownership and maintenance, car-buying, medical/estate planning, retirement, banking, payday lending solutions, investing, life insurance, social security, budgeting, and much more. Our goal is to provide useful information that helps those attending gain further financial knowledge and confidence. This event is open to anyone aged 13 or older.”
